A portion of the proceeds from the Year of the Dragon planner will benefit ARTS (A Reason to Survive), a creative youth development nonprofit and community arts center located in National City, serving youth and families across the South Bay region of San Diego. ARTS works to uplift young people to become confident, compassionate, and courageous community builders through the transformative power of creativity. As San Diegans ourselves, we appreciate the #PashFam’s help to support creativity in our own community.

Where did you draw your inspiration from for this project's designs?

Diana: “Growing up as a first-generation Canadian from an immigrant family from Hong Kong always kept me with one foot in both cultures. I grew up watching Stephen Chow and Chinese period dramas while enjoying anime, Disney movies, and Korean dramas on the side, so I always had different flavors to mix into my own art style, which inspired this dragon design for the project - inspired by Asian roots, but in my own style. The design itself is meant to be a mingling of lucky symbols and classic motifs associated with many East Asian cultures; I wanted folks starting this planner to have a little good luck charm to start their year with!”
